Don't know about that...They've been building for a while.
If it was dry we would have burned them. We did everything but beat them anyway. They’re not going to be a finals force. Neither are we probably, but that’s not my point.

360 germs reckon pangai wants out. There's a big value forward I'd be willing to pay for.
Hrs been suspended 14 out of the last 38 games he’ss played, and the chooks have said no way after meeting with him. Great player when he’s not doing the wrong thing, but he sounds toxic to me.

Surely youd just throw Tohu at 13. His performances up the middle this year have been outstanding. Very Yeo-esque in his own kind of career redemption. Would be the leader we lack. Nikora can be a sweetner in the deal.

We can tie up Talakai and offer that right side fulltime in competition with Wilton. Maybe even look at that Beau Fermor lad from gold coast as a little backup project on the cheap.

Fifi can hopefully get fit this season, play some blockbuster 20 min cameos and get a little finals run to retire on! Help make this all happen!:glasses-cool:

Yes This would be a dream run, if all that éventuated. Herés hoping.

Id put him in the 13. Our last 13 was pretty toxic as well, you’d learn to love him

The majority of the fine will go to upgrades. ( fine ? )
We have matched the Warriors offer for Toby, which was a very good offer, upgraded Hunt and Talakai and will upgrade Katoa.
Ferris will get bumped up and Trindall will be offered a better deal.

For 2021, the majority of the squad will be similar, we might sign the odd fringe guy but without any QCup or NSW Cup, scouting can't be done and players will take an easy option of a 1 year extension with clubs for security.

The only way we will make a genuine splash in the market is if Fifita agrees a medical retirement and we can shift Moylan for half freight.

Do we really need a big money signing? I think we’ve got a lot of pieces in place for a title push in a few years. What spots would you guys upgrade? Fullback?

If Fifita left you could do worse than signing a really good edge or lock. Edge player (as we have said with Tohu) could shift Wade to 13 or Talakai to bench, lock could shift Rudolf to prop/bench lock.
In particular a lock with some ball playing who makes 40+ tackles a game without breaking a sweat wouldn't go astray to help tighten up our middle D.
I don't dislike Brailey as a defender but he doesn't rack up the tackle count quite a few others do. Ranks 38th in NRL for average tackles but 11th for ineffective so he does get beaten for an offload a little too often.
A beast of a lock takes a bit of pressure off Brailey, Woods and even some others like Rudolf and Wade who I'd like to see conserve a bit more energy in this area. This is not intended as a criticism of Brailey either, Hodgson and Smith make similar tackle counts to him and he's still very young.
(Tohu would also be decent for this, make a heap of tackles)

At the moment my main concern is fullback depth as I don't really want to count Moylan or Dugan, I'd like to sign someone to compete with Kennedy.

So if Fifi retired you could spend something like 750 on a lock for example, then 200 on a highly promising fullback (bonus if they can play other backline positions).

Failing someone worth a big spend a lot of any money freed up by the likes of Fifita and Moylan I'd like to see used to ensure we retain the guys we want to retain but also instead of fleshing out the squad with guys like Milne who Storm didn't want and hasn't come close to getting a run you spend a bit more to bring in more promising players and hope some of them kick on.
5 players you can get/retain for minimum wage are, on average, likely to end up less good than 5 players it takes 125-175k to get/retain for example. So call it a spend of 750k instead of 550k, which is fairly minimal in the scheme of things, but at the end of the day your chances of them growing into a very good first grader are a lot better. Obviously it's still a gamble though and requires good scouting etc (and luck)

if fifita retires we should be looking at tamou - that guy is solid as a rock and would be a great person to have around uele/hunt/frudolph in terms of discipline on and off the field

that would also trickle down to the younger props as well, and would give us another voice on the field

if their is any money at all, we should be in the tpj ring, **** his judiciary record and discipline, this club imortalised gallen and he was a racist, stitch pulling grub

finally, sign nicho hymes at all costs

I'm a big fan of getting Tamou. His output this year has been excellent and he'll be good for our young forwards because we have alot coming through and Wade can't do all the mentoring on his own.

Not sure on TPJ doubt we're looking at him anyway.

I like what I've seen the last two games from Hynes. Certainly worth having a crack at and he's from the central coast so I'm sure living near the beach would be appealing.

tamour would be an incredible get for us, and would give us an insane forward back and bench

we should be, he is the type of forward we are missing, big, aggressive, offloader

We really need to offload Moylan. Wonder if he'll consider retiring if he does his hammy again.

No chance he gets a decent contract after this one. Certainly won't be a multi year deal either.

I think TPJ is a few steps above Gal in the bad boy department. You're nuts if you want that here
