Well don't forget most of their best players get pay tops ups from ARU so it's really just a few more of the fringe guys you are trying to attract. Aus Union clubs have a self imposed cap of I think 5 million they spend to try and keep the talent balanced around so not sure how much lower that would go.

In Aus there are 15 NRL teams and 5 Super League (15v4 if you're not worried about WA) teams so we already offer far more professional opportunities to young guys coming up. Can't imagine the NRC pays much to compete with NRL contracts.

Bought him to play centre too where he isn't as proven

Canberra apparently offered 5 years but only $350k and plan to keep him on the wing

Still very young and potential to improve further

They'll have to pay overs for the first couple of players imo. Then once they start building a decent team and IF they perform on the field they shouldn't have to pay too much overs down the track.

Wrong choice, they needed a Madge or Toovey type coach. Bring some steel and consistency into the team.
