If yas are referring to my comment then chill out, I never said he’s the next immortal or Joey johns, I said he’s BETTER then the 7 we have, also younger and cheaper. An upgrade in every possible sense of the word.

The scientific test would be to see how Kyle performs alongside SJ. So far we've keen Kyle look pretty good next to Chad. A lot of you are assuming that had nothing to do with Chad. Feels pretty selective... maybe we'll get the chance to find out before the season is done.

hear Flanno jnr was gone as soon as Flanno snr got the sack...sharks wanted to distance themselves from both....SJ had nothing to do with Flanno jnr leaving

Will we see him again in FG 4 Sharkies? Sooner rather than later methinks.

Only if we lose a half to an inury, if he didn't drop any when we lost 5 in a row he's not going to drop anyone on form with only a handful of games left imo.

And it's not like he needs to give him game time for his development next year - **** his development next year.

Trindall ?
hooker ?
Bench hooker. Came on 15 before half time and played 42 minutes.

I’m OK with Trindall at 9. Would like to see him playing a few more minutes though. Grant Garvey is a scrub.

Id like to see flanno bench hooker and Trindall starting .
I know , not going to happen , as we need a sharp in form half available if Chad or Johnno go down

Trindall is 19, and can tackle better than Kyle. Playing 9 isn’t going to hurt him. In fact it could end up being the way he breaks in to the NRL. Right now he’s the second best hooker on the books for next year (assuming no Jayden).

Not a bad things for halves to learn defence from hooker.

The only thing you’ll learn is technique on a bigger man.

I’d actually argue it has an inverse effect. Defending at half you learn how defend on an edge, working with outside men. You learn none of that defending in the middle.

Trindall needs to be playing in the 7 going forward.
We need to develop his game more so now and get him up to speed sooner rather than later.
Flanno made his bed and chose to jump ship with 2 years of recently inked contract so should not be given any favours. He should only be playing 14 with the Jets unless injuries dictate otherwise.

Maybe both sides right .
If he has any tackling deficiencies , sort them out first , then can handle bigger men one on one if required .
THEN
Spend the last rounds on the edge learning to work with team mates there

I agree, but I think halves can be nervous defenders and having him go out to make tackles would be a good thing. Not for technique, just to shake off those cobwebs.

No offence egg but Burgo has already said he “can tackle better than Kyle” and the end of the season is already approaching.
Flanno doesn’t want to be a Shark, so I think the time is right, right now.
Flanno has already decided so let’s put our energy into Trindall’s game in the position we need him to develop and grow in and that is defending on an edge.
