All good points.

I guess I am also wondering if the club wants to keep as coach given the history, or if they would prefer to cut him loose and start new with a new coach and a new reputation.
As long as he actually learns his lesson this time, I reckon they would keep him... but I think the club would be monitoring the process trying to protect their brand as much as they can.

Agreed club knows a lot more than what us punters are drip feed, in terms of the amount and the nature of said emails. Club will have a contingency plan. Saddens me to think our most successful coach could leave with his reputation in tatters.

Get the feeling interim might mean until Jan 30th - the end of Flanno's chance to appeal, then we will either commit to Morris for the year or look at someone else.

If Flanno appeals it will drag on for ages given how slow the NRL moves.

If he doesn't appeal, which is unlikely imo, I can't see us going for anyone else at this stage. Will be JMo.

NRL would be getting nervous, an angry Flanno could go in and rip the place apart. A tell-all book from someone about the inner workings of the comp, shady dealings within other clubs, NRL double standards etc would be interesting indeed. He'd have some dirt no doubt.

My guess is they'll give him hope for the future in order to avoid such things.

flanno wont appeal or wont have a hope of appealing im sorry to say; the nrl were so definite in their statements. its a shame but i think he is done. This announcement of the interim head coach confirms that for mine.

How so? We had to name someone, can't just have the boys not training.

So have the club talked to any other candidates, or will they be?

Or are the options down to 2 - Morris or Flanno.

Reckon it’s definitely jmo while Flanno is on the books. After that they will look at how jmo is going other options available if Flanno is a No Go.

spot on. Cant appoint officially until Flanno appeal exhausted. Will be ratified when Flanno out of options

I reckon they're pretty resigned to having JMo as coach for this year.

After this season, if Flanno is able to come back he might get his job back, or we will find another coach, or if JMo does a good job it might be his.

All it would take is a top 8 and it’s his, if Flanno doesn’t come back. I think the club would be licking their lips at the difference In Pay cheque’s
