Fifita may have a point but he really doesn't possess much discretion does he - then again Gal has spent his whole career speaking his mind in the public even when it was something against his club

Bet ya when Loots was picked for Samoa they didn't forget to mention it...

Fifita didn't bag the club. He said he is disappointed they didn't acknowledge
The tonga players at the presentation night and rightly so.
The thing about Fifita he stands up for what he believes and speaks his mind
good on him.

Problem is that the media is spinning it that way

Fifs is the best. Wouldn't trade his passion or honesty for all the media savvy in the world.

I'm not convinced, I really needed a #fakenews on the end of that post

Reading Andrew's comment and more quotes from the actual article sounds more like he knows the other nations reps didn't get recognised because they are not at the same level, but he is keen to help improve Tonga so that they are on that level.

I think he's not saying the club should have recognised him so much as that he wants to help raise up Tonga to the point it is natural to praise those selected for Tonga equally with Aus, NZ and England. More talking about the state of the international game than attacking the club.

Club newsletter that was just sent out has plastered him in red so he got his wish. Story over, case closed.

Good on him! He’s 100% right to say with what he said. The media just twisted the headline to make it more dramatic as you can see. Fifita is being truthful when he says he loves the club. He puts in a **** tonne of effort, ever since we signed him from the Tigers you could see he wanted to repay us. And my oh my has he repaid us.

We want players to have some passion and personality, then the media tear into them when they say anything out of the ordinary. Hope he has a ripper of a game.

Great post, 1000%.. Also, very poor form by the club - would not have been a nice feeling.

It isnt poor form. Last week the club acknowledged its players that were playing the the games that weekend. Fifita was yet to actually be named in the 17 for this weekends match. If theyd jumped the gun then he wasnt selected or pulled out for injury or last minute heritage realisations youd be bagging the club for going off to early

I can second this, it's not a nice thing to do...

Love the passion of the bloke, but seriously-what a plonker.

When the team lists get announced last week-the only two sharks in action were Val and Woodsy. Why say anything about Tonga and Fifita? Tonga weren't playing?

This week the teams are announced and quite rightly the Sharks post a picture of all Sharks in action this week. I have no doubt they would have done the same regardless of Andrew's little whinge.

Now everyone is saying the Sharks have 'given in to the pressure', when really they are just doing what they've done for pretty much every international/rep game for the last 4-5 years.

Not sure what else Andrew expects from the Sharks, or why he'd even drag the club into it.

ummm Fifita played for Tonga in the 2017 world cup and played a test for them instead of representing NSW state of origin,
So why shouldn't he he get acknowledgment at the Monty Porter awards night the Aussie players did.

At that point had he been announced as a definite in the squad?
