Our forward pack aren't up to standard unless Fifs is playing at 120%

That's our main problem.

Souths shutdown in the last 10, it wasn’t us turning up.

Feki needs to never play first grade again
Fifita needs to go back to just running hard and hitting hard rather than running sideways
Moylan needs to get the ball more
Gal Shouldn’t get the ball after the 3rd tackle
Seggy needs to play a full half
Townsend should run he ball more often especially late in halves

Just my 2 cents

Said it before the game that if the forwards did their job the backs will have a field day.

Well, the forwards got shown up immensely so the backs had no ball which meant we were never in it.

Yeh our forwards really lacked size and speed tonight.

That suxd... Reynolds kicked us to death as well as their forwards rolled through us all night... annoying I agree but not getting the razor blades out yet. Hate to think how that would have finished if they had their origin players in... we had val who would have offered little with our no go forward.

Yeh our forwards really lacked size and speed tonight.

This game was the perfect reason why we need a full time fullback instead of someone like Dugan - Holmes or Barba will do. Lee was good but there was a couple times the overlap was on if he passed but instead ran.

Also why we should look at Woods on the cheap as a bench option

such a badly played game, at least 12 lessons of what NOT to do on a RL field. Lewis, very poor, not even any kick pressure from anyone.

2 and 5 tonight not up to 1st grade standards.

11 and 13 as much as I love them just not good enough.

TBH the rest of the pack looked poor as well.

5 day turn around ? 6 in a row ?

Awful performance on many fronts.

Thought 1 and 3 were great.

Lol at anyone saying it’s the refs fault we have lost this game.

No, however how the best ref in the NRL ( daylight is second ) is the assistant to a bloke who is in the grand final as being the worst , is quite beyond me.

That sinbin to Moylan was wrong on so many levels though, Coach should be having a serious look into that.

It’s politics I reckon mate plain and simple.
I reckon Bernie Sutton is favouring his brother too much and Cecchin spoke out about it.
Archer hasn’t got the balls to pull Bernie into line and Greenberg hasn’t got the balls either to tell them both off.

Somethings got to give somewhere and things like this never go away quickly.

To me it all rests with Greenberg. He has not impressed me one bit as CEO. He is a wannabe politician who talks in riddles, rhetoric and jibberish. He puts his own self interests before the good of the game.

Agree with all of that.

Forever grateful that Cecchin was appointed lead ref for the 2016 grand final.

If it was Sutton - different result.

That sinbin to Moylan was wrong on so many levels though, Coach should be having a serious look into that.

There was justification but it was a square up without doubt.

The Bunnies got a final warning and were penalised again but didn't get a sinbinning separate from the obvious one which would have happened anyway.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the lack of square up sinbinnings this year. It used to almost be a given.

And before anyone decides that I think it's the reason we lost or that it's a vendetta against the Sharks, I'm not saying either.

The whole referee situation was a joke, they way Jennings sin bin was debated between the two. You could see Henry didn’t like getting over ruled by the pocket.

The whole appointment of Cecchin “ The Premier Ref” sounds like he is out of favour big time.

Souths continued to give away penalties after they were warned and only were binned from a professional foul

We didn’t lose the game from the refereeing, it just adds fustration when you watch footy for entertainment but are continuously baffled with when sides are penalised. Its simply to hard for the referees to get a feel for the game.

We don’t want to see a Melbourne side lay on others for an age but also don’t want to lose the flow of rugby league.
