Feki scored a try and did little wrong on a bit of a clunky left side I thought.

Besides Ramien is not a winger and not in our future. He will not replace Feki and nor should he.

If I had to replace Feki I'd opt for Edrick surprisingly enough. Just on tonight though.

Agree on Edrick, he's stepped up this preseason like his career depends on it, funnily enough.

Fair enough . Just because he isnt in our future does not mean we should not use him , that's silly - he is a weapon , our aim is to win the comp and ultimately i feel like he will offer the team more then Feks will

Gray is no stranger to the left wing. But i dont think feki should be dropped for him

Yeah I know Gray can play wing but I prefer him as a centre. Like I said, just on tonight if I needed another winger it'd be Ed, but the day he had a classic Ed Lee fumbleathon game I'd regret not picking Gray.

Agree on Edrick, he's stepped up this preseason like his career depends on it, funnily enough.

If we can bring out the best in Ed consitently then it'll be another Flanno bargain buy. The bloke obviously has talent. Just cause Raiders couldn't find it means ****all. Ricky could turn Cronk into McCrone with a good off-season.

Totally agree. He's on our roster and getting paid, if he's the best option he's in my side. Ramien could have signed a 5yr deal with us and he still wouldn't be my pick on the wing over Feki, Edrick or Gray. If Dugan or Loots were out though he's my first cab off the rank.

Update from Ricco on twitter:

“Coach Shane Flanagan says he has no concern for josh Dugan suffering any major damage to his jaw. “He’s fine, it was just a whack. He was coming off the next set anyway”.

If Noodles is up for playing wing i would put him there. Katoa & Ramien were both dynamite tonight, that assist for Katoas try :good: Was good to see some fresh faces in our lineup as well

Only watched the first half but...

- Chad looked dominant. Couple of not great kicks but looks to have stepped up without Maloney.
- Moylan was quiet but the couple of half breaks he made looked promising. Overplayed his hand once but should be a handful.
- Lewis just keeps making pro plays. He does stuff that no other second rower can do. His experience and ability to read the game is invaluable so as long as his body holds up, so is he.
- Bukuya was strong. He's not Gallen but for all the talk about him potentially replacing him, he let no one down at lock.
- Graham's try assist kick
- Dugan didn't get too much of a chance to cut loose and neither did Katoa (sounds like this changed in the second half).
- Brailey was class and so was Holmes. I did catch that try he let in (for shame) but it was good to see him more involved in attack.
- Leutele and Fifita strong as always.
- It's only a trial but it did nothing to change my opinion that Tigers are in for a roouugh year. Cutlery coming their way.

I know that Dugan had to leave the field because of a mushed face but slotting Edrick in at fullback seemed like a bit of a Flanno-test.

Didn't drop the ball and had the presence of mind to chime into the backline running Val's lines on a couple of occasions.

The Flanno works in mysterious ways.

We didn’t really see Val run those lines last year. There was a few times, but he was just a bit late, or threw the wrong pass. Last night he did both a couple of times. You’d be happy if he could do that constantly all year.

ATM I’d take him or Lee over Feki. I love Feki but in comparison to the right edge, Feki is the weak link with himself and Ricky. He’s had a mortgage on that left wing spot since he started, but if someone can offer more, then I’d like it to happen

I think dugan must have a real low pain threshold or something. Takes a knock and looks like hes been shot but usually backs up next fame

Went to the game last night, pretty good crowd but suppose the locals only get a few games a year there.

Things I remember
- Katoa played the whole game or had to be a vast majority of it.
- Grey replaced Loots and didn't play on the wing.
- Ramien replaces Dugan. Dugan went to FB a bit.
- Ava looked good, hopefully not a serious hamstring injury.
- Uele also looked troubling, good size. Won't play big minutes.
- Fifita was very good.
- A few of Brailey's passes were too high for a bit, think he got on target a bit later.
- Brailey Jr is tiny, long time before he plays 1st grade.
- Chad did pretty much all the general play kicking, some was good, some was not.
- Moylan looked OK, better defensively than Maloney but his game management is going to need some work.
