If they want him bad they'll offer him more than I think we should spend on him. Not worth getting into a bidding war (unless we lose).

Teams that win premierships have a few young outside backs and mature forwards. Youth in the forwards doesn't count for much after 26 rounds of tackling all day.

Yeah - not sure how 29 is considered too old to be a middle forward. Gallen (35), Taga (30), Heighno (34) and Prior (29) each did a pretty good job on Grand Final day.

It's also about developing the young guys. Is the way to get the most out of Uele 18 Months from now to play him for 20 minutes in the NRL or for 50 minutes in the NSW Cup? If you think he's better served getting more time then you go find a better 20-minute NRL option for this year.

This post needs to be a sticky. This is 100% true. Debate if you want, but you'd be instantly wrong.
I thought everyone knew this...i.e. the ol common knowledge ain't so common

Ofcourse that forward still has to train and look after themselves to reach that peak around their 30's, it doesn't just happen because of a number

Eels going all in for josh mansour for next season. Viewed as ideal replacement for semi

Ideal is not the word I would use - Mansour is somewhat underwhelming for all the hype

No where near a like for like with the ability of Semi

Mansour is so over rated. He is a strong returner of the ball and that is about it. He is very similar a player to feki.

Agreed but to be fair I reckon I'd have Semi before any other winger.
