Still not 100% on if I will do it or not. I've been looking for an excuse to get up that way & I was looking for a run around that time so ties in pretty well.

Will be hard training for it where you are, the weather will be a slap in the face on race day, that's for sure.

Still, I reckon it's worth a go. The harder the race the more rewarding the experience, even if it doesn't feel like it during the race!

Yeah I reckon it'd be an awesome experience. I'll see how I'm going after the Gold Coast & assess from there I think.

I'm looking at doing two half marathons this year. The Gold Coast 1/2 Marathon & The Great Barrier Reef 1/2 Marathon in Port Douglas, I'm not sure how I'd go with Port Douglas weather in late October for running though.

Ever done the Great Barrier Reef one HB?

Training is going terrible tbh. I've had a prick of a start to the footy season with injuries hampering me all through the pre-season then another pop up in round one. I haven't been for a longish run in over two months.

I've kept my sport fitness at a pretty good level but haven't had any luck with getting out for runs.

I think I'll still be alright now that basketball is done for a while I should be able to get out more.

Overall I think I'm fitter now than this time last year but with no actual km's in the legs.

i gave up on running for the time being, i figured i was too heavy and it was hurting my knee

so i started F45 8 week challenge

start of the 4th week, i am 6.7kg down and 3 belt sizes

will take to running when i have completed the second 8 week challenge

The cross training you're doing will help plus you've done a half before, you will be right.

That's impressive. I haven't done F45 but have heard good things about it. My neighbour's son dropped a stack of weight by doing it.

Never done F45 myself, but ive heard from a few that have and they say its quite wanky and massively expensive.

All have gotten great results out of it though, so i guess thats all the really matters.
