Sorry mate I know your choice then. Never seen Gray play before anyway.

It’s more the fact at how bad Lee is. He was diabolical in first grade for us and he continued to struggle even in reserves. Even if you don’t want to pick Gray, you got Ramien among others who are ahead of Lee surely. It’s your opinion on the side of course and it’s your right to express it.

This comment has continually done my head in. He was only ever average at 5/8.

He was/is a fullback through & through and one of the club's best ever.

He was pretty rank at fullback as well in 2015. That’s why Gordon was getting the nod ahead of him and he was playing small minutes off the bench.

No all good mate obviously different opinions on the players, Lee didnt have the best year for us last year as I've seen most people point out but I do still find himself a decent player just down in form last year, may be completely different this year. As I said aswell I'd never actually seen Gray play before so thats why I also didnt want to put him straight down, I heard he is also more of a centre anyway. Ramien is there to consider but I think he'll need a bit of experience first before he gets the official full time starting spot. This is a forum though where everyone has the right to express different opinions & people will always agree & disagree with everyone.

Only played 3 games at fullback in 2015 with no prep - not a fair comparison at all.

The make up the bench will be of great interest.

Personally , I think we need two out and out props on the bench , looking like Ava and Uele , trial form permitting.

I think we went a bit small on many occasions last year.

Then I think Bakuya needs to spell Gal , rather than them both staying on the field together , unless it is late in a match or injury enforced.

For mine, we want Brailey to go the 80 if possible.I also hope he has developed his short kicking game close to the line with Ennis.

Seggy needs to earn a place in the 17 on last years form , send him a strong message.

This leaves Capewell in the 17 , to cover the edge back rowers and centre.

I know this leaves us vulnerable if Brailey goes down , but leaving Capewell out , exposes our outside backs, so no scenario is perfect.

Also , i believe Ramien is pushing very hard for a spot , so much so that it is more likely than not .

Happy new year everyone, stay safe.

If we out of the blue sign another proficient 5/8 & as his main position anyone think we'd put Moylan in the fb role & put Holmes together with Dugan on the wing?

Fingers crossed. Feki and Gray are solid players but we know pretty much where their limit is. Hoping to see this kid start sometime in the first few rounds...

Gray is more a centre and Edrick has sloppy hands so Katoa's pace and natural wing position puts him in the box seat IMHO.

Our team would look different with Katoa in it.

Not sure what any of this has to do with our new kit?

Since when has relevance been a prerequisite for a post in a thread HB?
The thread is titled "Sharks new look 2018".
Katoa is "new" and an exciting prospect. Besides, we don't have a relevant thread yet and I couldn't be assed starting one up.

Katoa is like some freak mix of Feki & Barba - has the potential to be something special

The thought of him and Noodles as a future right side pairing someways down the track does not upset me
