I didn't mind the look of it when I first saw it but when it's hung on a real person I don't like it.

Even gives Gal an hourglass figure. Maybe they got the mens and womens mixed up.

Agree. On the rendering that jersey looked amazing

Take off the black white and blue goggles for a minute. Our ‘brand’ as you call it is not in our jersey or at least not in some recognisable design used through the ages. We’ve reverted back to the hoops time and time again and no doubt we will again. Teams like rabbitohs dragons and roosters have basically always had that same jersey save for the odd occassion they do something different. They also have histories thst are celebrated (seeing as though dragons only care about the st george component). We are younger and our only success was recent. If we were going to honour our history and brand we’d wear the 2016 strip forever.

Of course our brand is in our jersey. We've been around for 50 years. Sure, not as long as some but long enough to have a strong brand and identity.

How often has Nike changed the swoosh or Adidas changed their three stripes? Of course we're not a big brand like them but it doesn't matter.

It does seem to be the way for most NRL teams which is a shame.

Dragons are referred to as the red v. Noone calls us the hoops. Thats what im saying. Our brand is in our colours. Not our jersey design

Did look OK as concept .
Not so good in reality
The White part of the V is too thick .
Fans could design better

I think the white part is too low. That shoulda been the chest with the opal solar below
Yep , that might have worked .
Time for a re-call :)
Any sold thus far can be collectors items instead

So?

Does anyone refer to Essendon or Collingwood jerseys as a name like red V? That's irrelevant.

Agree, our brand is in our colours. But it's also in the jersey as is every sporting team.

We’re also not the only team to ever change their jersey. They mighta missed the target but everyone needs to chill out

I think after this run of jerseys the og hoops will return. Will have been 4-5 years since by then.

On closer look im not sold on the main, i think the white should have been higher. The black is the tits though

I get what you are saying, but you need to start tradition somewhere to build a history like what the Dragons enjoy. Why not start with what did with winning a premiership after 50 damn years. Quite happy to keep the 2016 jersey.

Maybe these are for a Sharks Austag team... cause they look fairly low effort. I understand what they were going for but the execution, well it hasn't come off all that well.

Not a fan of these jerseys at all. Why change a classic look so much? I would have been okay with a V design like the 50th anniversary jersey but they've gone for a hoop and a V, which looks terrible. It's like they couldn't decide and combined both. The "V" kinda reminds me of Melbourne Victory jerseys which used to have a prominent V like the traditional Victorian teams and has now gotten wider and flatter over the years. I feel bad that Gal's last season will be wearing this.

I'm sure I will have calmed down about this come Round 1 but since it's the offseason and there is nothing much to talk about this has really annoyed me.
