Ha ha good point if you can try and find what Danny willets caddy (brother) was quoted as saying in a recent interview regarding American fans. Funny stuff talk about poking a bear..

Well done yesterday to pamps... Nice little exemption leading into him turning 50 to play with the round bellies.

Great viewing this afternoon at the Australian Golf Open. Six players within two shots of each other at the top of the Leaderboard!

Hi All, I am thinking of getting a new set of sticks, its been over 15 years since my last purchase so I'm due.

Anyway, looking for feedback or advice as to whether its worth the time & extra dollars to get fitted with one of those simulator type things they have at place like Drummond Golf, are they legit or do they fudge you the info in your favour to make you think 'I have to buy these clubs, I am hitting the ball further than I ever have'

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

There's nothing like getting to a driving range and hitting a few balls with different clubs, you just don't get the same feel or feedback from a simulator compared to what your eyes see at a range, imo anyway.

I know pro shops generally have a small range of products compared to the chains but it might at least be a good starting point to get some ideas.

Who the hell is Charley Hoffman? Great round of 7 Under in terrible conditions. Even or 1 over is a good score but 7 under? Wow.

Anyone else watching?

Poor bastard.

Popular Australian golfer Jarrod Lyle has returned to hospital in what is suspected to be his third fight against leukaemia.

Lyle, 35, has twice beaten cancer: as a 17-year-old, when he was initially diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, and after a relapse in 2012.

The Victorian is reported to be at Royal Melbourne Hospital, as doctors conduct tests. He will take a break from golf.

"Just another bump in my road. I will fight like no other," he told PGATOUR.com.

Big condolences to Jarrod Lyle and his family after his passing last night.

So sad for someone's life to end so short.

I felt sick when I read about his passing this morning.

Seemed like a top bloke. Two young daughters and a wife.

So very sad.

US Masters starts this Friday.

Only four Aussies in the field, Jason Day, Adam Scott, Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman.

None of them are in reall great form so I guess another year is going to slip by without an Aussie winner.

Anyone got a hot tip for the green jacket winner?

Not a bad start for our guys - Scott -3, Cam Smith -2, Jason Day -2 with five to play and Leishman even after 18.

Leaders are at -3.
