Yep agree but than the other dud the dogies got from the sharks.

Might even replace the dud. Mbye or Reynolds to hooker, Cleeland in the halves. Won't start the season that way but if they're attack is as rubbish next season as it is this season, you never know, Des might pull the trigger.

This is rumoured to be Des's long term plan. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mbye in 9 and a Reynolds-Cleeland halves pairing at some point next season.

Might be up against it next week. The Jets got a touch up in both contests against the Cutters this year. I guess one positive for them is that Capewell and JSL will likely play. That should be a boost. Anyone know what Jordan Drew's injury status is?

Never mind - found it - Drew is gone for the season with a shoulder injury.

I'd be very surprised if flanno risks capewell or JSL for newtown this weekend

Hmmm... I'd be tempted to keep these blokes with the first grade squad and rest them.

I reckon JSL will play - he's been getting bugger all minutes in FG and could probably do with the run even if he does come back up. Maybe not Capewell though.

doesn't matter. You don't risk him when we don't know for sure who will be fit for the prelim
I'd name him in the squad and then make a call late in the week when more is known about the status of Gallen and Taga.

**** newtown. I really don't care about them. We are preparing to play our first preliminary final since 2008 with 2 of our props fitness levels uncertain and you want to risk our only other fit prop in a reserve grade game. Stupidity

no way in the world. It's not worth the risk.
Agreed, at this stage of the season its not like its going to improve their fitness or anything. The only thing that could happen is an injury. But but but they could get injured at training

He plays 15 minutes a game FFS. He's only in the team to give someone else a rest. If they move Bird in to the middle again (without hooking Chad) there's your 15 minute rest.

But that's not really the problem. The problem is that if he gets injured then we need to put a worse player on the bench to cover minutes somewhere. I'd rather have the best possible team for the prelim. Every other concern is far second.

We'll be completely short for big hard middle players if Taga, Gal, Paulo and JSL are missing. I just can't justify the risk.

In your head, rent free
as much as we need to win the semi, chances are neither of these guys will feature

i would like newtown in the grand final as well, and capewell/jsl give us a red hot chance of doing so
