From memory, the Bunker said he didn't try and catch the ball (tried to bat it back) so was a disruptor... Interesting interpretation of that's the case.
Same with perpetration against Will in round 1

Seen many bat backs allowed though.

Did he have a decent crack at the ball: yes/no
That simple, don’t try and interpret players intention. If timed well enough to play for the ball then timed well enough to allow.

From memory the ref got it completely wrong in Rd 1 as Kennedy actually got to the ball and bat it back. Should have been play on.

But wasn't it because he overran the ball - that's what the bunker said, definitely heard them say that he overan the ball - sounded like the reason for the discretion.
