Match 2024 NRL Round 12 Cronulla Sutherland Sharks vs. Penrith Panthers, Saturday 25 May 7:35pm @ PointsBet Stadium

This game will be won through the middle. Cleary is a great player, but it’s Penrith’s forwards that lay the platform that allow him to play so well. It’s why the Riff are still so good even when one of their spine players are injured, their game plan revolves around dominating in the middle...

Match 2024 NRL Round 11 Cronulla Sutherland Sharks vs. Sydney Roosters, MAGIC ROUND, Saturday 18 May 5:30pm at Suncorp Stadium

Just felt like both sides are too good in attack for it to have been a low scoring game. Last night’s game did have a real finals feel to it.

“the odd time we do” really? Last night I was getting annoyed at how often we kept attacking down Iro’s side. One thing I’ve been noticing more and more is that Iro doesn’t seem to have a quick tap-on pass to get the ball out to Ronnie. Felt like our sweeping attack kept dying with Iro because...

Atkinson played well in the Melbourne game, however he looks off beat in his partnership with Hynes. If Tricky is available I’d have him over Dan TBH.

Don’t think Nicho’s plays this weekend, which is unfortunate. Keen to see how Tricky and Atkinson gel though

Match 2024 NRL Round 11 Cronulla Sutherland Sharks vs. Sydney Roosters, MAGIC ROUND, Saturday 18 May 5:30pm at Suncorp Stadium

Roosters are very similar to us as in that they’re a confidence team. When they’re on they can score points with ease, however when things don’t click they can fall apart (see our first half against the Raiders, and the backend of their second half against the Warriors). I’ve really liked our...

Atkinson played really well last night, but if Trindall was available for next week I’d be picking him without a second thought.

First time in a loooooong time we’ve had a great long kicking game. Didn’t know Atkinson could get such a great depth and height on his kicks until tonight.

    3-2-1 3-2-1 NRL vs Melbourne (Round 10, 2024)

    3. Atkinson 2. Kafusi 1. Tapuha I’m a bit tipsy at a pub at the moment so could change after a re-watch, but these three stood out on the live watch.

Unfortunately I don’t see him being a Shark in 2025 (pure speculation of course). He’s been playing good, consistent footy in NSW Cup and barring injuries, we don’t have a spot for him. Ronaldo, Ramien and Katoa aren’t getting dropped anytime soon and even if we don’t re-sign Iro, Sifa would be...

I’ve no doubt that there’s other players in the team that would enjoy a bag or two in the off season, but from what I’ve heard Tricky started the night off with his teammates but then left later on to catch up with his own mates and get on the gear.

We’ve been doing it since last year, I believe it’s a tactical decision by Fitzy. A punt to the corner makes it significantly easier for us to set our defensive line, plus it means the first two tackles for the opposition are going to be sideways plays to get the ruck to the centre of the...

2024 NRL Round 8 - Canberra Raiders vs Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, 4.05pm Sunday 28 April @ GIO Stadium Canberra

I’m still cautious about how we’ll fair against the other contenders. When we get on a roll with our momentum we’re one of the best looking sides in the competition. However (as we’ve seen repeatedly the last couple years) if a side is able to halt that momentum, we can crumble and give away...

2024 NRL Round 9 - Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks vs St George Illawarra Dragons, 4.05pm Sunday 5 May @ PointsBet Stadium

Hunt and Flanno Jr are loving their midfield bomb for Lomax at the moment, so I imagine Mulitalo and Kennedy will be doing through bomb defusal drills all week. Hope the rain clears up, we’ll play them off the park with some open play footy however the rain can turn it into an arm wrestle.

Don’t think he’s had a bad game since making his debut. If he keeps playing the way he is, I reckon this time next year he’ll be in the conversation for origin.

I noticed he did it a lot late in the game when we had it won. Wouldn’t surprise me if he did it to give Atkinson some experience on last play options while under pressure. Rather give Dan some pressure moments when we’re up 40-0 as opposed to 18-18 down in Melbroune.
