    Official 2024 NRL General Discussion

I think the opposite. It's mostly daily telegraph BS who are about as conservative as it comes. I don't see it really in left-leaning media.

    Official 2024 NRL General Discussion

I think I saw this explained somewhere, but I'm not 100% certain if I'm remembering correctly as I can't find the source. I believe its come as a result in the shift of most news being consumed online. They are no longer referring to the collective as 'this newspaper' etc.

    Official Braydon Trindall

Yeah not sure the NRL would want to risk any negative headlines of him playing magic round. Hopefully he'll be available after that.

    NRL SHARKS FOREVER SUPERCOACH

Bringing in Walker and Manu this week to ensure they have their worst games of the year. You can thank me when we win.

Haha had highlighted him in the first post. Forgot in the second.

Match 2024 NRL Round 11 Cronulla Sutherland Sharks vs. Sydney Roosters, MAGIC ROUND, Saturday 18 May 5:30pm at Suncorp Stadium

No, but it's a must perform game IMO. Cant turn up like last year at magic round and get blown off the park.

Yeah no doubt we're looking like a team who can win a bit differently. I'll be stoked if that's something that can take us all the way. It's hard to rely on the bench being the difference maker when they don't impact the game the whole time though. Still worth looking at. I was going to just do...

It's just a hypothetical. AFB is the best available player we could have gotten to improve our side. An elite spine player would have been better, but that was never an option.

Match 2024 NRL Round 10 - Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks vs Melbourne Storm, 7.35pm Saturday 11 May @ AAMI PARK

Yeah not sure if it's my bias but I do feel like we get pinged for the disruptor and escort more than most sides. Didn't see the Kyle one but that sounds like another good example.

He needs to get a run during this block of games, but I'd rather him be 100%. If he pushes it and does more damage to his calf we'd be in a worse spot.

Match 2024 NRL Round 10 - Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks vs Melbourne Storm, 7.35pm Saturday 11 May @ AAMI PARK

I think top 3 was fair. He gave us nightmares tbh. Would have been fine for him to get the 1 point.

Walsh without question. Edwards probably. Deardon no.

Yep. The question is whether the spine has enough star power to win a comp. It's no knock on any specific player. Recent grand final winning spines: Team Panthers (21-23 Storm (20 + 17) Roosters (18-19) Cronulla Cowboys Hooker Api/Kenny Smith Verrils/Friend Ennis Granville Halfback Cleary...

Can apply that complaint to every rule at the moment it feels like. It's hard hey, if that's the rule, then he's right. I've just never heard that at all. If a defending winger takes up a position to block the chasers, and the fullback knocks it on into him. Is it then a penalty as he took...

Match 2024 NRL Round 10 - Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks vs Melbourne Storm, 7.35pm Saturday 11 May @ AAMI PARK

I thought the escort one was okay. The logic of the Iro one killed me as I've never heard that and I'm certain it's not the rule. You take up a position therefore you're playing at it. What happens if you belt the ball into someone's legs in the defensive line? Haven't they taken up a...

Match 2024 NRL Round 11 Cronulla Sutherland Sharks vs. Sydney Roosters, MAGIC ROUND, Saturday 18 May 5:30pm at Suncorp Stadium

They've also got some serious bench middles. May and Whyte have been immense, and Leniu will ne looking to find form. We need to keep completing like we have been. The roosters throw it around a bit so can make mistakes. If we do the little things right we'll get our chances.

    Official 2024 State of Origin

That game will have put some serious value to Brailey and McInnes. Both showing their ability to be flexible in positions, which is so crucial in origin when players go down.
