I must have watched a different game. He was terrible. Yes he started the year very good but was back to being soft and lazy last night.
In 60 minutes he had 6 runs as a middle, made no solid contact in tackles and was lazy coming up in one storm try which put pressure on the outside defenders.
Decent running game but lacks real ball skills and kicking for a 5/8. And Hynes game mgmt was terrible yesterday I thought. Average kicking. No kicks in the in goal for repeat seats. Grubbers to the in goal are a great play in wet conditions. He just goes for it on every set. I fear these two...
Finucane's spot is free now. AFB takes that. Everything else can stay the same if they chose, cap permitting of course.
I think Hunt is off contract isnt he. Not sure there's a spot for him now. I can see him or Kafusi being let go.

Look, my comment wasn't aimed purely at the critique of Gabriel. I agree, he is top 30 so not your typical pathways player. But there was a comment a couple weeks back, I think it was you actually, about the big Fijian winger in SG ball getting picked after he had dropped some balls.
I can tell...
I think this is a great thread and Burgo does a fantastic job of putting together what he does on the pathways, but we need to remember that these are 18/19 year olds fighting their way in the pathways so just be a bit wary of criticising or picking at things like we do to the NRL guys.
Whilst you’re crucifying Gabriel from your couches for this I can tell you he’s been their best player in the first 2 weeks. And he takes plenty of runs too.
Don’t think dropping their Colts is a good move but aligning other ages with NSW makes sense.
It’s only been a couple years though. NSW changed to 17s and 19s after Covid
We have become a very closed shop with our player recruitment and negotiations, which is a good thing. Hynes wasn’t played out in the media at all. Rest assured plenty is happening behind the scenes.
It’s a good guess the tigers have pulled out because they’ve been told they’re not in the mix...
