Did a bit of googling and appears we offered him about $400k for 1 year. SJ was outraged by the disrespect. Eventually signed a 2 year deal for around $450k a season.

My recollection of SJ leaving was that he wanted a bucketload, we offered him a reduced contract. He cracked the sooks, then eventually signed at the warriors for about what we were offering him. Happy to be corrected though

Yeah and it’s better then that, because at that sort of coin, it would be the premier front if jersey sponsorship. It’s a very welcome and generous amount, but not so much that we over rely on it and still have to work hard and smart in all areas. I imagine it was a very strategic amount.
