Bit nervous about Nicho’s probable selection in Origin. Given the narrative around him and performances in big games , it raises some concerns about his mindset for the rest of the season if he plays in Origin and it doesn’t go the way we want it to for him .

Just watched kaufusi’s try again and love how we went short to Hazleton to sell the crash play, the outside defender comes across and in on Hazleton then Tommy passes to kaufusi .. nice set play with opposition defenders now focusing on Tommy when he’s close to the line .

With all things considered, who would you swap him for right now? I’ll start with Reece Walsh, but then it’s a pretty short list

Tommy was redlining by the time he came off. Just lucky we weren’t doing much defending on our line at that time or he would have been exposed … That was his Maximum minutes today.

Does anyone think Nicho is starting to have a very subtle subconcious bias effect on the referees? The Roosters gave us 14 penalties and 3 sin bins this week. Not saying they weren’t all legit , but I just get a sense that Nicho is possibly just starting to have an effect on the 50/50 calls …...

Just get it over with and give this bloke the keys , put the “c “ next to his name this year. He’s won the hearts and minds of the public and officials alike. Disservice to the club not to do it sooner rather than later .

Having watched the replay Im sure there is a moment in the second half where Wade is being directed on where to be and where to run around the middle third by our Trainer. I know it’s common place , but not for Wade and seems to me he is being re-trained on his role.

I mentioned a few weeks ago Wade needed to re-invent his style of play… he looked good today running it through the middle. I think that is where he could be most effective through the middle with an off load , taking to the line and distributing when it’s on…
