Damn straight. A pattern of repeated bad behaviour over time is one thing, but stuffing up once no matter how badly should be something anyone can come back from.

Official 2024 NRL General Discussion (no rumours)

Yeah that’s a good point. I guess that’s what I’m seeing when I see Cleary seal games for them. They’re like the storm in that they make average players look good. It will be interesting to see how all the former Penrith guys at other clubs go this year. I’ve said before that nrl coaches are...

Official 2024 NRL General Discussion (no rumours)

You need a player or players to put the game to bed if you're going to grind though, otherwise you can be beaten by some luck or x factor by the opposition. Penrith have that. I'm not sure St George do.

Someone file away my use of the word “astute” so I we can pull it out when Billy Burns becomes the official sharks whipping boy next year.

(Archive) Depth, Development and T&T Players

Billy Burns is costing us bugger all and last year he played 10 games, 9 of them for the full 80 minutes averaging 44.5 fantasy points, top scoring 67 in one round. 50 is a good fantasy average. I know it’s only fantasy but think of it as an ok bunch of stats to assess a player by which it is...

There assessment was nuts because he was a wrecking ball at centre. It's not like they moved him and messed it all up. No player stays that damaging forever. Oppositions work how out how to manage it, but in the process it stretches what else they can do and helps the team all round. Anyway poor...

I didn't realise they were so loaded up there. Kind of the opposite to the sharks so makes sense. Its a great get IMO, especially for the money.

I think i agreed with you at the time. He was great last season. A mate of mine recruited him into his fantasy side and was always banging on about how good he was. I'm surprised Flanno let him go if that was the case.

Played a little cup last year so he’s not too far off age and stage wise from nrl.
