CRONULLA Sharks will tonight announce three new board members at tonight’s annual general meeting.
They are Sutherland Shire lawyers Peter Kerr and Phillip Tiernan, as well as former Sharks star Jonathon Docking, who is a previous director.
The three were part of chairman Damian Irvine’s successful eight-man ticket which got up, which included incumbent directors Keith Ward, Jim Barnett, Paul Walker, Craig Douglas and Ricky Surace.
The Leader understands unsuccessful candidate Chris Downy, the former NSW Sports Minister, was beaten by only two votes for a spot on the board.
Former international Dane Sorensen, incumbent Greg Holland and Peter O’Driscoll were the other candidates who missed out.
