Cricket star Michael Slater has been charged with assaulting police over a confrontation in a Queensland resort town.
Slater, 53, was arrested after Queensland Police were called to an incident and medical emergency in Noosa Heads about midnight on Friday.
It is alleged Slater obstructed police when they arrived, later assaulting an officer who was left with a cut on their hand.
He has been ordered to face court on May 2 on two counts of obstruction and a single count of assault police.
There were no other injuries, Queensland Police said on Monday.
