That pass to Ronnie was a ripper
Accurate
And then we have to change the team around, again
We need players playing the same position every week. No more switching around
Moylan id prob have off the bench
We seem to be carrying Tracey on the bench now so Moylan can take that spot. That is probably the go. Although I have liked our bench with 4 forwards. But that might not be necessary anymore. The forwards seem to be handling things a bit better now.
Would probably be of benefit to Moylan to ease back in as well. Maybe we can stretch his 60 minutes of football across three games.
Unlucky to not be picked this week
I’ve seen enough to stick with this kid. And he seems to suit the way awe play now, heads up footy. He’s Chads replacement in my opinion. Can’t let him leave.
Yea bomber dobbed himself in at the press conference saying quick heads up attacking footy is the new style required in the NRL now yet his starting halfback is a handbrake. I can understand him sticking with experience for the time being but at some point he needs to be called out on persisting selecting Chad if he doesn't find a golden run of form
Out of curiosity, from an attacking perspective, what does a golden run of form in attack look like?
He's had 9 try assists in his last 6 games. Shaun had 10 in those same 6 games. Our fullback (Primarily Moylan and Kennedy) has had 5 in those same 6 weeks and another this week (SJ didn't have one and Chad didn't play).
Blayke has also had 3 in last 7 weeks.
If I look at our team things I find the biggest issue with are not any lack of attack from Chad, or the spine as a unit.
All these guys have also made errors at times over the season, amongst the worst is probably Chads few way too deep grubbers at the line, that's definitely something I'd like to see him fix up.
He certainly hasn't been our best player over that period but I can't really accuse him of, overall, causing our attack much of a problem.
That pass to Ronnie was a ripper
it was, but it was way too loopy
chad has been better than the start of the season there is no doubt
he is attacking smarter and taking a back seat to sj which is good
there new rules and tempo though, he is far too slow
he cant move laterally anymore, and he just isnt quick
thats his down fall now, the speed of the game, which makes him look a step off the pace
there were parts of the game where i missed chad against brisbane, mainly because they were targetting sj, but also because trindall didnt run much either
my fear for chad though, as good as he can play, there is always a penrith performance around the corner
Not being a smart arse but how many 40/20’s has Chad kicked whilst playing FG?
I can’t recall one, makes you wonder why he kicks as much as he does when we are doing our down town 5th tackle kicks, I realize if Chad was someone who can find open space regularly but I can’t really say he does that better than most, just the norm really.
Basically the gist of why I can't get behind an unforced drop of Chad.
It would be insane, and even after Trindall playing that one game, to expect the coach to think risking games now was in his or the teams (or the fans) best interest just so Trindall can get first grade experience, or because Chad isn't very popular and isn't one of the best halves in the NRL.
Every game Chad would be even 1% better than Trindall and we are in finals contention Chad should play.
